Best base for discovering Lyon with exceptionally nice staff from a friendly manager and his staff. Nice food for dinner and breakfast. Absolutely perfect, excellent location in 2nd arr. District just off the beautiful ‘ Vieux Lyon' as well as shops.

Too small bathroom.

The place is well-located near a tram station and the room was comfortable with an exceptionally cozy bed.

The separate toilet is much too narrow, even for tall and slim people.

The hotel was cute little and clean, overlooked the city.

Magnificent and decent location in Lyon, near the train tracks and major attractions. Close proximity to Perrache train station allows for easy transportation to various places

The location is good if you make a stopover and the staff was generally friendly.

we had chosen a hotel with a restaurant, so if there is a private party there, as in our case, you should at least tell the guest about it, so we came to the hotel at 9pm, tired and hungry, and got nothing! The breakfast was ok, but without the slightest service, because I expect a little more in the 4 star hotel.

Everything was great here; I especially enjoyed the lounge area and having a writing table in my room.

All staff very friendly, especially the night we arrived (late!!).Much appreciated.

The breakfast was complimentary and fantastic, offering a wide selection of dishes. The hotel had a central location across from a park.- We enjoyed a pleasant evening at La Salle a Manger, which was conveniently close to the hotel.

The breakfast was very good. The city centre is easily accessible on foot.

We really liked the spacious and modern room and the friendly staff that made sure we had a great stay, in addition to the convenient location near Place Carnot.

We liked the location and the room in the back building very much. That was our second time at Charlemagne. Our room (superior) was spacious, quiet and, apart from the dust in the corners, clean. The bed was comfortable but too soft. Worn out? We felt comfortable and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We would like to come back to Lyon and Charlemagne!

Delicious continental breakfast with lots of choices. Rooms are small but nicely updated and offer nice views of the nearby kids' park on the third floor. 🥐

The hotel was quite good as location near the central square of the town (Bellecour), every saturday there is a market in the road infront of the hotel with antiques! The privilege room was good and clean and the bed comfortable.

The breakfast was good but a bit expensive for what was offering. The staff was polite and english speaking which is a big issue for Lyon! But the internet connection during the hole weekend was off!!!

Tasty breakfast served in the lobby, and there's a great bakery just a block away in the other direction! The place is bright and quite clean, making for a pleasant stay. 🥐
